Our Beloved Longears...Burrito, Chalupa, & Fajita
Burrito was adopted from BLM in Sept of 2003 at the age of 6 months. He then went on that following year (not quite a year old) to be my daughters lead line steed. He competed at Mule Days in 2005 in the In Hand Trail, and has also done the burro jumping at the Wild Horse and Burro show, placing 3rd out of 14. If I had a chance to adopt again...it would definitely be a burro!
Mama, Chalupa, was adopted from the BLM in August 2005. She was pregnant at the time of adoption and n February 9, 2006, Fajita was born. Fajita was only one day old in these pictures.
Fajita at the 2007 California Wild Horse and Burro Show, in Bishop, CA. She won 2nd place in the burro jumping out of 14 burros. We were so proud of her.
